Outreach

Intrepidus Dance has has the pleasure of working with a host of local organizations over the last few seasons. Per our mission statement, "we strive to open the doors of how art is viewed--regardless of age or economic status--by way of education in the observation & performance of dance." We have been able to further this mission by providing free dance classes, recording educational podcasts for the public, and by the donation of concert tickets to underprivileged groups. If you'd like to get involved or share an idea--reach out to us by way of the "Get Involved" page!

Season III

Now in our third season, Intrepidus Dance is thrilled to be continuing our outreach efforts with the help of two very important Seattle organizations: Path with Art & Mary's Place.

Mary's Place

Mary's Place is a Seattle-based organization that provides shelter, resources, and hope to women, children, and families.

During the season, Intrepidus company members were able to offer free dance classes to children ages 6-10. Intrepidus plans to continue these classes--even in the off-season.

 Season II

This season, Intrepidus Dance has focused on women empowerment and exploring what it means to be a woman. While using our art to discuss these topics, we were inspired to take action and get involved with organizations that impact women's lives in the Seattle area and around the world.  Those organizations include Mary's Place & Days for Girls International.

Days for Girls International

Throughout the season, Intrepidus company members have volunteered with Days for Girls International, helping to make reusable feminine kits for girls and women around the world. DfG strives to provide "every girl and woman in the world with ready feasible access to quality sustainable hygiene and health education by 2022". In making and providing reusable and sanitary feminine kites to women and girls around the world, DfG is helping girls stay in school and contribute to the betterment of their communities.
